The app works extremely well, and can pick up even my terrible handwriting with great accuracy. My only critique, and the reason for 4 stars, is that the "New Document" and "Add to Document" buttons are right next to each other, and on more than one occasion I've accidentally hit "New Document" and immediately lost everything I'd scanned and corrected. Adding an auto save function, or honestly even a pop-up asking if you want to discard your current document, would help workflow.

I appreciate that time and effort went into the creation of the app. But just as you have placed a value on your time, I value mine as well. So after going through the time of installing and then the processing of an image(which still required considerable editing on my part) only to find that what was put out as a free app requires payment in order to be of any use. This is just disingenuous. You take the time to point out how the app is ad free in the description but make no mention of how it is a useless waste of time unless you're willing to pay for the export. Very convenient that you left that part out. Seems like you're just counting on people thinking that they've invested enough of their own time in doing the conversion that in order to avoid a total waste of time, they'll throw some money at it to fix the problem. I'd rather just uninstall than reward such deceptive tactics.

It does a good job of recognizing my handwriting. So it's core functionality seems pretty solid. However, I purchased the "" version ($4.99) expecting more features. It really just allows you to export. Not a lot of extra features for the money. I thought it would at least have some sort of list making capability. At least I can export to my notes app now, I guess.

Not accurate at all. & major editing flaw. It takes way too long because I have to edit every single line, 1 at a time; you have to click EDIT for each separate line! Very inefficient. Plus, the accuracy is horrendous. I've done 6 pages & 95% of the lines have to be edited... a LOT of editing. There's no way I can use this app to transcribe an entire journal.

This is the best handwriting to digital text app I've found in of conversion accuracy. I have to write neater than I normally do, but it's not bad. I have terrible handwriting. But, the app does not sharing from other apps, even as a . For example, if tap share in Samsung Notes, I can send to Gmail, drive, Facebook etc., but not Pen to Print. I have to to Google Photos, and then pull from Google Photos from Pen2Print. Very annoying every time.

Really pretty amazing when you think about it. This app is causing me to rethink my data entry paradigm. Good job. Keep the features coming. EDIT: upgraded to five stars when i realized i could get 100% accuracy by tweaking my scan lighting SUGGESTIONS: 1. have the camera turn on the flash light so lighting will be improved without additional lighting sources. 2. have the scanner produce a jpg copy as well so it could also be ed, that way line editing (if any is required) could be done on computer instead of phone

Best ocr app available. Bought the lifetime/on-time purchase, 100% worth it. Please, add the the functionality to share an image to the app OR to open a file, select area to extract go back and select another area. Having to load an image multiple to extract different areas when not all text is needed, takes too much time. Please, consider it. Thanks

Ok, I have HORRIBLE handwriting, so I didn't expect much from this app. So many OCR apps, after all, have trouble even coping with printed text. What a surprise to see Pen to Print inhale my scribbled notes and produce text that included even my crossed-out words. You have to pay a buck or two to be able to export the texts, but it's a reasonable one-time charge and well worth it.
