A classical turn-based roguelike* styled game, with pixel art graphics. The main feature of the game are caves, that you can dig through using your pickaxe. Both magic and high technology go together here.

(Excellent, but see below) Tough, but fair. Lots of little tricks and techniques to discover and master. Characters are highly customizable. This is a welcome alternative to the legendary Pixel Dungeon, different in many ways and more open-ended. EDIT: Sadly, the game's gotten needlessly more complicated & laborious over the past couple years. Instead of adding new areas to explore, the dev's added more and more items & enemies. This is perhaps welcome for hardcore gamers, but otherwise..

Exceptional game that I have been playing for literally YEARS! Unbelievable replayability and genius game mechanics. I love the math coded in the calculations for combat, it truly brings the game to life with each unique encounter. Very rewarding dungeon crawling for loot and exploring caves for resources for building unique items. It plays like a RTS, RPG, and a survival game (on hard level setting) because you have to gather food or starve to death. A true rogue like like no other.

Another edit! Love how new stuff keeps appearing. I can't wait for the update. I still wish it wasn't quite so hard; I can't get past level 5 anymore. The cool new gear you acquired up to that point will suddenly be completely inadequate to kill baddies or survive their attacks. I understand there needs to be increasing difficulty but it's disproportionate. Even though, I still play this little game almost daily.

I've played this game every once and a while for a long time and I have only just now realized how good of a game it is and have been playing the game a lot more, and I think it could be one of the best rougelites I've ever played, It's incredibly enjoyable and highly repayable with lots of content and playstyles. I definitely recommend it and suggest giving it some time as it can seem really difficult even on normal.

I can't really say anything the other reviews haven't. I love how it mixes fantasy and sci-fi, and how the graphics glow with psychedelic colors at times. Yes you'll die, but it'll be PRETTY while you're doing it lol. Only thing I could wish for was if dungeon level themes were random instead of always the same order. I've been playing off and on for months and finally decided to pay for ad removal even though you don't really HAVE to to enjoy it. I like to reward devs who aren't money grabby.

When I picked up this game I loving it because of just how unique it is. there isn't a lot of rougelikes that use a faction system that the player can interact with. This game seems unfair but slowly run after run you will slowly realize just how carefully designed and balanced this game is. it's one of the few rougelikes ive seen that actually take many different aspects and possibilities and allows the player to mess with each one of them. You can tell just how much love was put here!

I ADORE this game ... even after I'd stop playing for many months after the frustration of dying (because it is a CHALLENGING game to be sure, and like other rogue type games you lose most everything each time you die), I'd inevitably be drawn back. The variety of enemies, items, everything, is fabulous .. the maps are very exciting.. regular updates.. incredible pixel art, seriously an absolute freaking art and gaming masterwork. will buy the ad-free version soon to the creator.

One gripe is that a run feels like it takes so much time and energy out of me with not much to show for it when I die. For that reason, I've had it for a couple years, but only get into it a handful of times when I get the urge. It's seriously addicting though. Once I start a run, it's hard not to finish it in one session. I just wish there was more sense of progression. My last run lasted several hours and now it feels like I'm basically back to scratch. Still an excellent game though.
