It's an ok system, there are a lot of bugs in the apps. I used the actual MyQ app initially but when there was a firmware update that the app wouldn't allow me to do. The customer told me to the Craftsman MyQ app which is better and more up to date. But it has bugs too but seem to fix them quicker. I guess. I've activity before that the keypad camera didn't catch even though it was in my front yard. I have an ADT Google nest security system with cameras. This is how I knew.

Check app compatibility on your device before buying. I bought it specifically to open/ close my garage door from my android 11 head unit in my car which is compatible with everything except the MyQ app. They told me there are no plans to make it compatible. I can use my phone but it's much easier to use the remote that came with the opener. Make it work and definitely 5 stars. Oh, the terrible beeping noise it makes when remote closing is disgusting - I will figure out how to disable that.

UPDATE: Thank you, Chris Jay, for your helpful review. The app has been updated to a blue icon titled, myQ garage door and access (no longer red). I installed the new version, signed in with my same info and was able to open my garage. I have been using this app for over a year and it has worked great. Suddenly this week approx 11/15/2022 it stopped working. Like many others here I have checked my settings, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and nothing works. Please fix this!

Update: there is a new app called myQ that has a blue logo instead of the red. I ed it and logged in. It works great and had my garage recognized and ready to go! I wish they had updated this app instead of making a new one and just letting this one fail without warning. For the last month or two this app has not worked. It will open, then just freeze and close. I've tried uninstalling and ing it again, but nothing works. Super frustrating.

Does not work at all for over a week. It would appear that this app is no longer available. I figured out if you completely UNISTALL it so it is out of you system then go and the app that is in blue and goes by MyQ only, I was able to with my old name and from the red one and it all works. The blue one will not install unless you uninstall the red one!

It's nice to be able to open the garage door without using the old push button remote, when the battery got low you almost had to drive through the garage door before it would open. That's all changed now that it's on my cell phone. This new craftsman door opener is the best I've ever had it's super quiet belt driven and the cats don't even know that I'm coming home anymore!

I've spent a full day trying to get the app to work. I had others try to see if it would work for them, no success with that. Standing on a ladder is not fun at all for a long time. The app needs a lot of work. I also tried the other app( myQ) it's the same app with a different name. What a waist of time trying to get them to work. WiFi access to my garage was the one thing that I was looking forward to use with the Craftsman garage door opener. Think twice before purchasing this brand.

We recently moved into a new house and the previous homeowner used this app. It worked for a week, but ever since then it does nothing but freeze on the loading page. Without a doubt, the clunkiest and junkiest app I've ever dealt with, what makes it worse is now I can't get my door open unless we have an opener which defeats the purpose especially when people are coming in and out doing home renovations while I'm at work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times.
